SECTION 3: HAZARD IDENTIFICATION
Emergency Overview: Shiny, braided copper wire. This product is nonflammable.
Potential Health Effects:
Eyes: No effect expected under normal conditions of use. Vapors released from other materials used in the desoldering process may cause eye irritation.
Skin: Prolonged contact may cause skin irritation.
Ingestion: Harmful if swallowed. Metal contact may be irritating to mouth, throat and stomach tissues.
Inhalation: No effects expected under normal conditions of use. Vapors from other materials used in the desoldering process may cause irritation of the mouth, nose
and throat.
Pre-Existing Medical Conditions Aggravated by Exposure: None known.
SECTION 4: FIRST AID MEASURES
Eyes: Usually not required. If eye irritation occurs immediay flush with plenty of water. After initial flushing , remove any contact lenses and continue flushing
for at least 15 minutes. Have eyes examined and tested by medical personnel if irritation develops or persists.
Skin: Usually not required . If skin irritation occurs wash skin with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Get medical attention if irritation develops
or persist. Wash clothing separay before reuse.
Ingestion: Do not induce vomiting. Get immediate medical attention.
Inhalation: If user is overcome by fumes during the desoldering process, remove victim to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration. If breathing is difficult,
give oxygen. Get medical attention.
SECTION 5: FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flash Point: Nonflammable LEL/UEL: Not applicable
Extinguishing Media: Water fog, CO2, dry chemical, foam are compatible for extinguishing fires involving other materials when Soder-Wick is present.
Fire Fighting Instructions: As in any fire, wear self-contained breathing apparatus (pressure-demand, MSHA/NIOSH approved or equivalent) and full protective gear.

Small Spills: Pick up spilled braid. If soiled or dirty store in a closed container for delivery to a metals recycling center. Do not dispose of by placing in trash.

Avoid prolonged or repeated contact with eyes, skin. Wash hands before eating. Use with adequate ventilation. Avoid breathing vapors given off by he desoldering
